Governor Soludo has forbbiden medical outreaches who are not approved by the state ministry of health to safeguard public health.

 Commissioner for health,Afam Obidike,disclosed this to journalists in Awka on Wednesday.

A public notice has been issued emphasising that any medical missions or outreaches conducted without prior approval from the Ministry would be prohibited.

”To obtain approval, organisations and individuals must submit an application to the Commissioner for Health at least 30 days before the planned date.

”The application should include details such as the date of the outreach, location, services to be provided, qualifications of health professionals, and medical supplies to be used.

”The Ministry will support approved medical missions by offering guidance to ensure effective and safe healthcare delivery.

“Non-compliance with the directive may result in penalties, including fines, revocation of licenses, or legal action.”

Further the ban aimed to uphold high healthcare standards, protect public health, and prevent potential health risks.
