Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, On Wednesday evening, yesterday paid a condolence visit to the widow and family of former Nigerian international and coach, Christian Chukwu, in Enugu, assuring them that they were not standing alone.
Christian Chukwu was more than a football icon. He was a national treasure, a symbol of dedication, discipline and inspiration to many. His name is etched into the history of sports in Nigeria and beyond. We, the people and government of Enugu State, are thoroughly devastated by his death.
