Pius Nwokoye Okeke was born on 30 October 1941 in Oraukwu, Anambra Central Senatorial District, Nigeria.
Pius Nwokoye Okeke-Ojiudu KSS (1914-1995), also referred to as P.N. or P.N. Okeke, was a Nigerian politician, businessman, teacher, philanthropist and the patriarch of the Okeke-Ojiudu family.
He was Minister of Agriculture from 1959-1966, a period known as the Nigerian First Republic. A distinguished author and Space Scientist, UNN. Mr. P N Okeke a man who revolutionized & continues to improve the study & understanding of physics in Nigeria and beyond

Okeke’s Publications are used in Senior secondary physics. Okeke has produced 15 textbooks on physics and astronomy.
He is the author of Senior Secondary Physics. He has made an immeasurable contribution to the development of academics, supposedly, responsible for producing around 3/4 of the Nigeria’s astronomers. Okeke has been referred to as the Father of Astronomy in Nigeria. London: Macmillan.
