Igbo Community Radio has gathered that Ebonyi State Government will welcome the First Lady and wife of President Tinubu Senator Oluremi Tinubu on Friday.
The wife of the president, Oluremi, will, upon her arrival, commission the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport runway at Onu eke, Ezzah South LGA.
Governor Francis Nwifuru ,administration had one year ago, embarked on the rehabilitation of the Chuba Okadigbo Airport runway to meet international standards. The Governor Francis Nwifru had already spent over N17.8 billion on the rehabilitation of the longest airport runway in the South-East region.
Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu, The Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Said,
“I had an audience with the DSS on routine surveillance of the International Airport, Onu eke, in preparation for the commissioning of the asphalted runway by the wife of the president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
“Chuba Okadigbo Airport has fully recommenced flight operations, and we call on the general public, travelers, to come here and take their flights. This is because we have the best and longest runway in the South-East region,” she stressed.
She further commended the enormous efforts of the state governor, Francis Nwifuru, in ensuring that the runway was completed and met international standards.
